Addressing all the minecraft complaints.

Alot of people have been posting about how terrible everything is.  We, the staff of Pwn9, would like to acknowledge that we have heard your complaints and will take steps to work on them. 

Now you have to be reasonable - to make changes will take some time.  As I write this a whole new server is being created to replace what you now know. 

Since so many people say they like one thing and other people like another thing, it's going to be hard to make everyone happy.

We will also do our best to maintain some of the perks of VIP Membership to Pwn9 Minecraft, but with a new approach to the server, obviously some of the existing benefits will change.

Just know that we are working on the issues.  That your patience is appreciated.

Thanks Trem/Staff, yet another idea I had for Donating is in game money, the higher your donation the more Money that comes with your Rank. Or even just a way to buy in game money with real money.

oh ya, tpa, home, warps, some kits, no cooldowns for elites these things will more than likely remain available as they are the integral advantages of vip status.

there is a very good chance in-game money will go away altogether and will implement a player to player trading system.  While it's nice to buy/sell stuff - there is always people finding ways to make tons of money and play the economy.   Or we'll have in-game money but no admin buy/sell signs but instead - allow players to run shops...  (strictly ruled shops, to avoid using trade signs as safe storage).

To get back to the 'old' school that everyone seems to like, we'll probably just make 1 big normal world map.  No nether.  This will do 2 things.  No more multiworld buggy plugins and 2, no more potions, without netherwart, there is really nothing you can make.  This may be unpopular for some, we may end up doing a poll on it but from reading many comments I think people would take a big world over having a medium world and a nether.

we'll keep clans instead of factions.  we don't want to run a factions server despite how popular a plugin everyone says it is.  factions is too dominate over the server, it doesn't really allow for the flexibility of gameplay. 

precious stones will also stay, despite the LOUD voices against it, it overwhelming WON it's poll... so the silent majority prevailed.  However, in a new release of precious stones - at Pwn9's request - the developer built configurable damages...  the new vamp can be set to only do half heart per second, or whatever we feel works best...  so it's not as instakill as it currently is. 

that's all i got for now i know the other admins have plans too

Thanks Tremor, I personally think that we should retain the multiworld as it has never caused problems with me but I'm the 1% on this equation. Player-run shops are a great idea as I loved building my shop at the old spawn back in 1.7 era.

i'm actually reconsidering my clans/factions opinion.   I like that idea that factions can claim area and build above ground and keep it from being griefed unless they are taken over.. if that is indeed the case.. and above ground building of bases would be really cool.  I suppose this would be possible with clans and stones, with pstones vamps tamed down a bit..  but...    i'm actually open to the idea now..

Only problem is if Factions is set up well, which I believe it will be you guys are pretty good with plugins, we'll probably get atleast a +10 players on daily. It's nice but can the server deal with the lag?

The only thing is Factions tries to cut down on grief. If the admins don't want a griefing server then change the name to Yet Another We Don't Know Really But It's Not SMP. I'm not too familiar with factions, but I do know that every factions server ive been on that has the plugin has altered the settings so that bases are virtually impenetrable and ungriefable. Factions are fine as long as that doesn't happen...

Also, the vamp damage shouldn't matter as much, as long as lapis lazuli heals at the same rate vamps damage. That way if you get lapis (which will be much harder/expensive) it will directly overrule the power of the vamp field, so players dont' spend 5 unnecessary hours with 10 stacks of tnt and a bunch of health potions/golden apples/lapis trying to blow everything to kingdom come just to get to the vamp.

Once again AK is dum and doesn't know anything. We've played Faction servers for about 5 minutes then left because we were too lazy to figure it out. The one me and others are playing on makes a lot of sense and is a ton of fun. You have a certain clan power level and it's higher depending on your Players and how high their power level is. The higher, the more land you can control but the harder it is to control. If you end up having 50/50 land-power then if one of you dies someone else can claim your land and grief it. Best strategy is to keep it small or have a large clan and try not to die. However, this will reduce the amount of Spawn-PvP due to not wanting to die. But it will increase the amount of base protection PvP which is the best and more fun in my opinion. Factions CAN be griefed rather easily if they're idiots and if they aren't so stupid you have to work at it a bit.

I just said that most faction servers didn't have those features, and I looked into them. But perhaps factions updated, and that's a new addition, or I'm just an idiot.
